PROCEDURE AT RE-IMPORTATION
- Trader/agent assesses himself on the appropriate form of
Customs Import Entry, supporting it with original Form
C & E 37 and invoice showing charges for the process or
if re-importation by the Parcel Post, a Delivery Notice.
- The
officer in the Long Room or Parcel Post checks the Entry with
documents produced in support of the entry.
- The
Landing officer examines the goods and if satisfied that the
importer’s
claim for duty free admission or admission at a
reduced duty is substantiated, the goods may be released
forthwith
- The Officer endorses
particulars of re-importation examination on
duplicate Form C & E 37 and advises the port or place of
exportation with the duplicate which is filed with the triplicate
at the Station
- The original
is filed with the Import Entry in the importing Ship’s
file.
