PROCEDURE FOR EXPORTATION

The person exporting goods for subsequent re-exportation should give written notice and produce the goods for identification at the port or place of shipment to the proper officer or in the case of exportation by post to the proper postal authority before their exportation.

ENTRY PROCEDURE – C & E 37

PROCEDURE AT EXPORTATION:

  1. Trader/Exporter pre-enters the goods on C & E 37 in triplicate describing the good fully stating the identifying marks and the intended purposes, repair or process.
  2. Trader produces goods for examination by proper officer at the port or place of exportation.  Officer conducts examination and applies seal or plumb.
  3. Officer records examination on all three copies of the forms. Records must show marks and numbers as will facilitate identification at the time of re-importation.
  4. Officer hands original copy of form to trader or agent who is advised to produce it at the time of re-importation.  The officer advises the port of re-importation through Headquarters with the duplicate.  The triplicate remains in the book at the Station.
  5. Goods are then released for exportation.
